Iris

Iris printers are technological marvels. They pressurize liquid ink to 250 psi and then spray that ink onto a sheet of paper, mounted on a drum spinning at 2000 rpm. These printers can lay down a line on paper that is about the thickness of a human red blood cell. The color reproduction, accuracy and detail of an Iris Giclée print is far superior to any other reproduction techniques available today. Although the cost of these prints are typically 3 to 4 times that of traditional reproduction methods, the results are so compelling as to justify the costs invloved.
